artist statement
My objective is to create unique site specific sculpture that initiates an unanticipated dialogue with the viewer. Prior to beginning work on a sculpture, I carefully construct and ponder questions that I utilize as a flexible guide throughout the process. Each site is carefully surveyed. Historic elements, environmental conditions, viewer access and site-lines influence my choice of materials, form and placement of the sculpture. A good question, I believe, is better than a great answer.
